Susan McGraw will welcome WHFR Founder Jay Korinek to the studio to help celebrate our 40 years of broadcast and take your pledge of support. "WHFR Journal" Talks HFC Native Plants and Audacious Kids -- Friday, April 10, at 1pm

Tune in to the WHFR Journal today, April 10 at 1pm. In honor of Native Plant Month here in April, we'll chat with Reem Alhadad, President of the HFC Student Environmental Association about HFC's own Native Plant Day, taking place at the quad on our campus this Monday, April 13, from 11am-2pm. You'll learn about sustainability techniques, take a guided tour on the Rouge Trail, and pick up some local plants to enjoy in your own garden. This event is free and open to the community, and Reem will share details on our show.

WHFR Benefit Concert at 342 Bar and Grill, Saturday, April 18

SAVE THE DATE and join WHFR Radio during our Radiothon 2026 Pledge Drive on Saturday, April 18, with a benefit concert at 342 Bar & Grill, 3932 Pelham St. in Dearborn Heights, with the live, local music of Dave & Kristi and other fun surprises. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a suggested donation for admission of $5. The live music will start at 6pm. Come down for some fun and friendship, while supporting WHFR's annual pledge drive. "WHFR Journal" Talks Autism Awareness AND Acceptance -- Friday, April 3, at 1pm

Join us tomorrow, April 3 as we kick off Autism Awareness Month on the WHFR Journal. We'll share a special show from the PRX series "Top of Mind", titled "Improving Life for People with Autism". Host Julie Rose speaks with advocates about awareness and, even more importantly, acceptance of people with Autism.
