No matter what the style or genre of music, there are always songs that were written and/or performed by the originators that inspired other artists and bands to re-create the piece and call it their own.
We call these re-creations "covers". Nowadays there are "cover bands" or tribute bands whose sole existence is to play the music of a popular band. But over the years, artists and bands have taken classic songs and have redone them in a way to make them a unique piece...
WHFR Radio will focus on such "cover songs" during the week of Sunday, October 4, through Saturday, October 10. All of our on air deejays will focus on these cover songs with the option of playing both the original and the cover. We hope that you will enjoy this week of cover songs.
