Join us on Friday, October 2 at 1pm for the WHFR Journal. This week, we feature an interview with new HFC Graphic Design Instructor Jim Shurter who will update us on what graphic design means today and how HFC can support those who wish to get into the field. We also chat with Lauren Bickers, Interim Executive Director of Hamtramck's Planet Ant Theatre. Lauren will share upcoming shows and ways you can get involved with improv, stand-up, and other performance techniques at their non-profit facilities. Finally, we'll hear the PRX piece, Things We Collect, from the series: Youth on Rewind. What does it mean to be a collector? We'll discuss the act of collection and how it mirrors our values, elements of community, and self expression. Shout out to vinyl and other media collectors -- the WHFR Record Show takes place next Saturday, Oct. 10. Listen in for details ort check out whfr.fm for more info. Enjoy the show!
