Winter Olympic Observations and Homelessness on "Theme Attic" today from 10AM-Noon!

Although the subjects of the Winter Olympics and Homelessness are nowhere near being related topics, they will rub elbows on today's "Theme Attic." The radio show picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, and will play songs loosely centered on both categories. The return of the EAR CANDY FESTIVAL happens tonight at 8pm until 1pm. Ear Candy Is Here!

Join us this Saturday, February 15, at Trinosophes, 1464 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, MI 48207, in Eastern Market, for the return of The Ear Candy Festival. The anti-Valentine's Day event is back after a 10 year absence. This will be a night of Electronic, Experimental, and Noise music. Scheduled to perform: Andrew Coltrane, Tarpit, Dog Lady Island, Apetechnology, Will Soderberg, Slax Wax, and Grommet. Additionally DJ Seoul and T. Linder from Detroit Techno Militia will spin two DJ sets during the night.

Host David Twichell's guest will be James Carman, a cinematographer and a producer. He shoots features, commercials and documentaries. His work has been showcased at The Museum of Modern Art as well as many film festivals. He recently won an EBE award for best documentary with his film, “The Hidden Hand: Alien Contact and The Government Cover-up,” a controversial documentary that explores the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

Each month, our "Tuesday Forum" presents talk shows produced by our own staff on special topics, at least for the first four Tuesdays. When a month occurs with FIVE Tuesdays, about once every three months, we usually feature our choice of an extraordinary syndicated talk show, and often it has been a show from the monthly series, "Philosophy Talk." So, at the end of this year, we celebrate the end of the first decade of this informative, challenging--and even entertaining--broadcast endeavor, from two philosophy professors at Stanford University.
