Back- to- School immunizations, with primary guest Laurie Feldkamp, a Dearborn Public School Nurse. We will address pro's and con's of immunization, covering current childhood diseases, plus first-aid tips for home, at school and at play. "Ride for Kids" featured on IMPACT!, 1pm-2pm, Tuesday, August 23

For 20 years, "Ride for Kids" has helped children with brain tumors through research and scholarships.

"Ride for Kids" Task Force Leaders meet with host Lynn Tuesday at 1pm and discuss how the work of the Michigan organization benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation -- and the Kids directly.

You'll learn how to be part of the Ride -- as a biker, or behind-the-scenes volunteer.

Metaphysically Speaking celebrates five years on the air!

Join host Mike Holloway and special guest Camille Procassini for the fifth anniversary edition of "Metaphysically Speaking". Camille is a very well known professional clairvoyant and certified hypnotherapist. She also works with numerology and Feng Shui ( pronounced Fung Schway). First, an in-depth interview with him from a recent episode of "Skepticality," produced by The Skeptic Society (begun by Michael Shermer). Second, the current episode of "Planetary Radio," a space science and astronomy show produced weekly by The Planetary Society (begun by Carl Sagan), which now has Bill Nye as its Executive Director.

Monday FORUM, 8-8-11, 6-7 PM: "Reverend" Billy

The Church of Life After Shopping (formerly known as the Church of Stop Shopping) is an activist performance group based in New York City, led by Reverend Billy, the stage name of Bill Talen. Using the form of a revival meeting, on sidewalks and in chain stores, Reverend Billy and his gospel choir exhort consumers to abandon the products of large corporations and mass media; the group also preaches a broader message of economic justice, environmental protection, and anti-militarism, protesting sweatshops and the Iraq War.

Dr. David Jacobs PhD. is the Director of the International Center for Abduction Research. He is Associate Professor of History at Temple University specializing in twentieth century American history and culture. Monday FORUM, 6-7 PM: Philosophy Talk--What are words worth?

How do words shape our minds? Do the French suffer because they have no word for berry or cozy? Do we suffer because we have no word for schadenfreude? Why do we adopt new words, or give old words new meaning? Can we eliminate a concept by renaming it, or eliminating the word for it? Hosts Ken and John welcome back Geoff Nunberg, author of "The Years of Talking Dangerously," for a program recorded in front of a live audience at the Marsh theatre in San Francisco.

4th Annual WHFR Record Show looking for Vendors

On Saturday, October 8, WHFR will host its fourth Annual Record Show from 10am-4pm in the Student Center and Culinary Arts Building at HFCC.
