Robert Hastings is a UFO researcher and author. His book, "UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites", has stimulated much publicity and demonstrates that the UFO phenomenon, contrary to our military's official declaration, is a matter of national security. Hastings has conducting numerous interviews with former and retired US Air Force personnel regarding their knowledge of nuclear weapons related UFO activity and learned that craft of unknown origin frequently disarm nuclear weapons around the world and take great interest in our nuclear power plants.
Michigan-based, Pleasantly Aggressive Folk Duo Nervous but Excited (Kate Peterson & Sarah Cleaver) is two songwriters, two singers, three guitars, a mandolin, a violin, a ukulele, a few harmonicas, dead-on harmony, some vaguely choreographed dancing, an impressive amount of laughter and a glockinspiel. Many thanks to everyone who braved the cold and turned out at the WHFR 25th Anniversary Party at the Broadcast Booth in Allen Park last night. We had a wonderful turnout and a great time! It was a pleasure to see some old friends from WHFR's past 25 years, as well as so many new ones. Our staff turned out in large numbers to have a night out together, and it was great to celebrate with WHFR's loyal listeners! Special thanks to the awesome bands that donated their time and talent to perform for everyone's enjoyment: The Anthony Lai Band, The White Ravens, and the WallClocks.

"Sprawling psych-pop-folk collective polishes the jangle 'n' bash with hooks and harmonies to soothe the savage bohemian. The kind of thing that could be a good backdrop for bar-brawling fun… Dashes of harmonica, twittering keyboards, female backing vocals and a well-defined rhythm section… [The Bell Beat] pretty much incorporate all the successful dimensions of American pop."
