WHFR DJ James Grant and Urban Rock Radio Remembered, Wednesday, February 27, 2013, 10AM-Noon

James Grant, a WHFR DJ who had his own unique view of the music world, passed away a year ago. His show was called Urban Rock Radio, a mixture of rock, punk, blues, and other genres prominently featuring black artists. Join host DJ Phil Maq as he recalls and plays some of James' favorite music, Wednesday, February 27th, at 10 AM--the show's usual time slot, to remember him.

In celebration of Black History Month, John and Ken join forces with Tommie Shelby from Harvard University, author of We Who Are Dark: The Philosophical Foundations of Black Solidarity.

Also on the show, will be the music of pioneering "industrial" band, "Throbbing Gristle" as co-founding member, Genisis P. Orridge turns 63 years old.
