"Space is the Place" celebrates the 46th Anniversary of John Coltranes "Interstellar Space" on Friday 2/22/13 at 6pm

Please join host Tom Wilson as he brings you this rare duet recording of "Interstellar Space" with John Coltrane and drummer Rashied Ali recorded on February 22nd, 1967. This complex, brilliant and intense music is presented in its entirety, 46 years to the day of its landmark recording. This recording demonstrates the mastery of John Coltrane at his Avant Garde best, shortly before his untimely death. Also on the show, will be the music of pioneering "industrial" band, "Throbbing Gristle" as co-founding member, Genisis P. Orridge turns 63 years old. Finally, recent music of Yoko Ono (who becomes 80 this week) will be featured as well.
