Annual WHFR Festival of Enlightenment Holistic Fair THIS Saturday - March 24 11am-5pm

It's time for WHFR's 4th annual "Festival of Enlightenment Holistic Fair" on Saturday, March 24, 2012, from 11am - 5pm on the main campus of Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. The event will be in the same location as last year's festival - The Student and Culinary & Arts Center - which proved to be a spacious and invigorating venue. We'll have free live music by local musicians in our food court and a great array of vendors, readers and body healers to enjoy. Admission $5 and students Free with School I.D.

Irish Music and DELOVELY Featured on Big Band, Broadway and Beyond Friday March 16, 2012

Make sure you tune into Big Band, Broadway and Beyond from 10am-1pm. The first two hours Joe will be featuring lots of Irish music in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Then in his final hour Joe will be featuring the musical score is from the movie DELOVELY. It is about the career of Cole Porter and features many of his songs performed by different artists. Tune into Big Band, Broadway and Beyond every week on Fridays from 10am-1pm and listen to a variety a Big Band music and a different featured Broadway musical or other Broadway related music each week.

Passing of WHFR Staff Member James Grant

It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our own WHFR staff member James Grant, respected staff member and host of the Wednesday morning 10am "Urban Rock Radio" show, passed away unexpectedly Thursday. In what was to be his final show on the air the previous morning, James was his usual professional, happy and positive self, excited to share his love of music with everyone. We will be presenting our own version of "Urban Rock Radio" for the last time this Wednesday, February 29th, at 10am with some of our own WHFR staff members paying tribute in James' memory.
