Hometown Hamtramck Hero Danny D shares music from his newest CD, Last Call. Americana, country, rock, and one heckuva all around pop-soul singer. R.J. Spangler is well known to Detroit blues and jazz fans, having created, produced, and performed with his numerous groups over the past decades, from the Sun Messengers to today's Planet D Nonet (jazz) and the RJ Spangler Trio (blues), represented in more than 50 recorded albums. In addition, besides gigs with dozens of the most famous blues and R&B artists, RJ was the bandleader for Johnnie Bassett, the current manager/drummer for Alberta Adams, as well as the current President of the Detroit Blues Society.
