Jeremy Porter & The Tucos are a Detroit band playing original Rock And Roll. They love their power-pop but they’re influenced by Gram Parsons, Uncle Tupelo and Waylon Jennings as much as Cheap Trick, The Replacements and X. It makes for an interesting, hooky blend of energy, melody, distortion and twang.

Body healers Chris and Dave Wattenberg join host Mike Holloway. The Wattenbergs describe how they use the vibrations of tuning forks and stones to heal others. They also tell listeners about the classes they teach which help their students to assist people in becoming more aligned with the energy in their own bodies, and discuss other healing modalities as well, like singing bowls, energy restoration, and Kabbalah healing treatments. A variety of the WHFR DJs will be celebrating the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Holiday on Monday January 20 with special messages, music, and more. In particular, listen to LYRICAL INFUSION hosted by Da Diva as she dedicates her entire show to the memory and work Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tune in all day and check out LYRICAL INFUSION from 6-9pm.

Host David Twichell's guest will be James Carman, a cinematographer and a producer. He shoots features, commercials and documentaries. His work has been showcased at The Museum of Modern Art as well as many film festivals. He recently won an EBE award for best documentary with his film, “The Hidden Hand: Alien Contact and The Government Cover-up,” a controversial documentary that explores the possibility of an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.

Each month, our "Tuesday Forum" presents talk shows produced by our own staff on special topics, at least for the first four Tuesdays. When a month occurs with FIVE Tuesdays, about once every three months, we usually feature our choice of an extraordinary syndicated talk show, and often it has been a show from the monthly series, "Philosophy Talk." So, at the end of this year, we celebrate the end of the first decade of this informative, challenging--and even entertaining--broadcast endeavor, from two philosophy professors at Stanford University.
