The month of May continues at a hectic pace. Spring is in full bloom and Mother's Day arrives this Sunday, so "Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, will play sets relating to both topics. Since "Theme Attic" is also moving to Wednesdays, (but also at 10AM starting next week), it only seems appropriate to play some tunes about moving. Our Tuesday Forum features a variety of topics hosted and produced locally, but once every three or four months, on the 5th Tuesday, we reach out to the Internet and bring back significant podcasts produced by others (which is, BTW, the constant purpose of our Monday Forum, 6-7 PM).

First, a recent podcast from the Sierra Club, giving news and information about our planet, its environment, and how to better live with this in mind. Then, from The Planetary Society, we hear the latest about astronomy and space science. WHFR is also hosting a special spring benefit concert titled “Detroit Blues Revue” from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. April 27 at New Place Lounge, 22723 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. It will feature regional musicians, including Big Ray and the Motor City Kings, Motor City Josh and the Big 3 and Motor City Slim. Attendees must be 21 and older to attend.
