Uno y Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on "Theme Attic" Thursday, 10AM-Noon, May 3!
"Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, will mostly feature songs that focus on Mexico and the Cinco de Mayo celebration this Saturday. But this past week also included May Day, so a few protest songs will be thrown in for seasoning. And, oh yeah, it's also a full moon on Saturday as well as the Kentucky Derby, so who knows what else you might hear. Join host DJ Phil Maq on Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 AM for his clever and unusual takes on music!

Tuesday FORUM, 5-1-12: "We Are Not Alone" w/sg Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr.
Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr. joins host David Twichell to share his personal experience in 1947 when his father woke him up in the middle of the night to show him the strange debris that was retrieved from a field near Roswell, NM. Was the material found from a downed "weather balloon" or an extraterrestrial craft? And why couldn't the most elite officers of the only nuclear base in the country at the time tell the difference? You be the judge. Dr. Marcel retired as a full bird Colonel in 2005 after serving his country as a flight surgeon for the 189th Attack Helicopter Battalion.
Monday FORUM, 4-29-12, 6-7 PM: Philosophy Talk & TED
Our two choices for best audio podcasts of the last week: from Philosophy Talk, "What Is Love?" and from the TED series of conferences, "How To Buy Happiness" by Michael Norton. (Could the two topics be related?) This show will be archived on this website immediately after broadcast for listening anytime: click on Talk Shows--Monday Forum--(select date).
