Tuesday FORUM, 8-6-13, 1-2 PM: We Are Not Alone
On April 29 to May 3, 2013, the “Citizen Hearing on Disclosure” was held at the prestigious National Press Club in Washington, DC. More than 40 UFO researchers, military witnesses, high ranking political figures and Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, presented 32 hours of testimony before six former Congressional representatives and one Senator. In this installment of We Are Not Alone, we will hear a few sound bites from some of these witnesses and the ultimate reaction of the distinguished panel members.

It's the 34th annual Dearborn Homecoming Festival--music entertainment, fireworks (Sat. & Sun eves), games, community information, plus carnival rides, food court, and food trucks--and WHFR will be there, too!. The Festival is located at Dearborn's Ford Field in west Dearborn; north from Michigan Avenue at the end of Monroe Street. WHFR will be broadcasting reports several times each hour with Festival information, live from our own tents located just south of the covered bridge leading in to Ford Field.

Dubner, a Freakonomics tongue-in-cheek (lump-in-throat?) look at the premise--certainly not ancient--of "A Burger A Day." Our first interview with our college's new president: Dr. Stanley Jensen. Dr. Jensen began here in this position on May 1st of this year--to a surprisingly large deficit, only realized accurately in the few months preceding his appointment. So we'll ask him about his background and experience, how we got into this difficult budget problem, and what are some of the steps that have been taken and still need to be taken. And, how Henry Ford Community College can and will, nonetheless, maintain the educational excellence it's know for.

Debbie Bonello, a stage 4 cancer survivor, reiki master and mother of four, is the special guest this month on "Metaphysically Speaking".
