DH Police Department's Crime Prevention officer, Cpl. Mark Parrinello, is interviewed by WFHR host--and DH councilperson--Ned Apigian. This week (April 6-12, 2014) is our once/year Pledge Week, so you'll also hear some donation requests during this hour's broadcast; why not go to our website, anytime, and click on "Radiothon 2014" to pledge your support for all of our unique non-commercial programming!

What's been happening in our state government in Lansing? Get the inside story--during the last half of the show--from our local Representative from the 15th District--mostly all the Dearborn area--George Darany. Host Jay Korinek will ask him about his position on the big state issues and his own initiatives.

WHFR host Seann Lewis will be discussing community farming and sustainability issues with Maureen McIlrath and Heidi Bri of The Going Green Foundation. The Going Green Foundation is a Dearborn non-profit dedicated to erasing hunger and protecting the environment through urban organic farming. To learn more: www.thegoinggreenfoundation.org.

Host Ned Apigian, Dearborn Heights councilperson, welcomes the new Dearborn Heights Fire Chief, David Brogan, to provide a complete, in-depth picture of this vital public service.

Host David Twichell welcomes Mr. Jan Harzan, the Executive Director for the International Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), which is now producing the History Channel program, "Hangar 1: UFO Files." He holds a degree in nuclear engineering and enjoyed a career with IBM. Mr. Harzan will relate his own personal UFO sighting as a child and his subsequent lifelong exploration of the truth behind the mystery of the phenomenon.

Originally broadcast live on WHFR on Feb. 26--but you may have missed it, so here it is again. With the Tribute, it runs just over 28 minutes so we will start the show with it, then go on to our coverage of other local news of the week.

Guest for one segment of the show today: Bob Oliver, reporter for the Dearborn Times-Herald weekly newspaper.

Host David Twichell's guest is William Konkolesky, the State Director of the Michigan chapter of the Mutual UFO Network or MUFON. As such, he has been privy to several cases considered to be of "high strangeness". These are incidents that leave even the most hardened UFO investigators scratching their heads. Bill has been interviewed on countless radio shows and TV documentaries, too, including the Sci-Fi Channel’s “Abduction Diaries”. He is the author of “Experiencer: Raised in Two Worlds.”

Includes special interview with Todd Lassa, Executive Editor of Automobile Magazine (begins about 55 minutes in).
