WHFR PRESENTS: Pianist/Composer Yelena Eckemoff

Yelena Eckemoff

Born in Moscow, Russia, Yelena Eckemoff was taught by her mother and started playing music when she was four years old. A child prodigy, she studied classical music at Moscow State Conservatory and the esteemed Gnessin State Musical College...

Yelena has written music for a variety of instruments and voice, experimented with electronic music, performed and recorded both solo and with her bands, and is constantly looking for new ways to express herself, broadening her musical output from her classical upbringing to the realm of contemporary jazz and beyond.
