Kenneth Thomas to be on WHFR's "The Mix" Thursday Aug 25 at 9pm

Tune in Thursday from 9pm-12am to WHFR's "The Mix" with host BAM as we welcome world famous DJ and producer Kenneth Thomas back to WHFR.FM to play live. He will be joined by other artists from his record label "Myth Records." BAM will be also be giving away free tickets to Kenneth Thomas's upcoming concert this Saturday. For 20 years, "Ride for Kids" has helped children with brain tumors through research and scholarships.

"Ride for Kids" Task Force Leaders meet with host Lynn Tuesday at 1pm and discuss how the work of the Michigan organization benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation -- and the Kids directly.

You'll learn how to be part of the Ride -- as a biker, or behind-the-scenes volunteer.

The Church of Life After Shopping (formerly known as the Church of Stop Shopping) is an activist performance group based in New York City, led by Reverend Billy, the stage name of Bill Talen. Using the form of a revival meeting, on sidewalks and in chain stores, Reverend Billy and his gospel choir exhort consumers to abandon the products of large corporations and mass media; the group also preaches a broader message of economic justice, environmental protection, and anti-militarism, protesting sweatshops and the Iraq War.

Hosts Ken and John welcome back Geoff Nunberg, author of "The Years of Talking Dangerously," for a program recorded in front of a live audience at the Marsh theatre in San Francisco.
