Latest Arrivals to Our Music Library

Hello Loyal Listeners,

WHFR continues to broadcast our Classical satellite feed while HFC does everything possible to maintain the safety of students, faculty and staff on campus, which means our DJs can’t quite yet get into the station. However, we are still receiving plenty of music from great independent artists. Here’s a little taste of what you can expect to hear when the DJs get back behind the board!:

RSilver Movie - NSilver Movie - The six song self-titled EP was recorded over a two-week period in early 2020 at Vision Quest studios with the help of former Brian Jonestown Massacre member Rob Campanella and local psych-rock outfit Triptides. All songs were written during the fall of 2019 which Ray recalls as “some kind of writing frenzy” that had been preceded by a long period of indifference towards music. Most of the EP’s songs were recorded live, with overdubs punched in towards the end of the sessions. Recording sessions for a follow up release are scheduled for November.

Film School - We Weren't Here - What emerges from beneath the waves of the album’s psychedelic dream pop are bittersweet themes of a year lived in suspended animation: anticipation, separation, regret, revelation.

Kid Kapichi - This Time Next Year - With momentum building, Kid Kapichi dropped their hotly anticipated EP Sugar Tax in July 2019. In the latter part of the year, the band made their mark at Reading & Leeds Festivals, sold-out headline shows in London and Brighton, and toured Europe with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes in the autumn.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward “Making Waves” in person as soon as possible!
