Doug hails from South East Michigan and forges the mid-west work ethic with the great Texas songwriting traditions. Lyrically he stands on the shoulders of greats such as Tom Waits, Guy Clark, Kris Kristofferson, Gillian Welch, James McMurty & Bob Dylan. Musically & sonically he is endlessly inspired by David Rawlings, Django Reinhardt, Jeff Tweedy, Nels Cline & Boston's own beloved Buffalo Tom! Having spent 30 years promoting the music of others, Doug is finally getting his music onto stages having shed his Chrysalis & day job.
