Kiko Loureiro, an amazing international guitarist who usually performs with metal band, Angra, takes a quieter approach in this very unusual impromptu in-studio performance airing tomorrow at 11AM. "Theme Attic," the radio show that picks themes and plays music from a variety of genres about selected subjects, will feature more seasonal songs in the first hour. Our first interview with our college's new president: Dr. Stanley Jensen. Dr. Jensen began here in this position on May 1st of this year--to a surprisingly large deficit, only realized accurately in the few months preceding his appointment. So we'll ask him about his background and experience, how we got into this difficult budget problem, and what are some of the steps that have been taken and still need to be taken. And, how Henry Ford Community College can and will, nonetheless, maintain the educational excellence it's know for.

Reiki is the topic for "Metaphysically Speaking" Tuesday 7/16 at 1 p.m.

Debbie Bonello, a stage 4 cancer survivor, reiki master and mother of four, is the special guest this month on "Metaphysically Speaking". Be sure to listen to Debbie and show host, Mike Holloway, discuss her battle with cancer and how it came to truly transform her life from a negative to a positive experience. Debbie explains the effect cancer had on herself and her family which led to her discovery of Reiki. (Reiki is a spiritual form of energy healing.) WHFR broadcasting live music from CONCERT of COLORS this weekend, July 6 & 7!

From "Concerts of Colors": WHFR will be broadcasting all the live music performances from the Diversity Stage--one of three at the Max M. Fisher Music Center. Our regularly schedule music shows will be on hiatus during these performances from about 2 PM to 10 PM, Saturday and Sunday, July 6 & 7. Best recommendation--come down and enjoy all the FREE music IN PERSON--and be sure to visit the WHFR table in the lobby and our broadcasters at the Diversity Stage. Two stages are indoors and one outside; food and drink are available to purchase from a number of vendors.
