Presented by Dr. Marcus D. Cosby and the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church Mass Choir and featuring vocal lead from Dr. James Mable Jr., "One Word" is a choir-driven gospel single released on August 21, 2026, as the lead offering from the Houston church's upcoming Chapters + Verses, Vol. 2 project. Written by Wheeler Avenue Minister of Music Leon C. Lewis, the track advances his initiative to craft congregation-centered music "for the Church, by the Church," rooted in Scripture and traditional Black church worship. Before its official release and radio servicing through George "Money" Moses Jr. and It's All Gospel (IAG Radio), the anthem had already gained national traction across congregations including Maryland's Reid Temple AME Church, Atlanta's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, New Jersey's Shiloh Baptist Church, and the COGIC AIM Mass Choir.
