Space is the Place features voices from outer space Friday 4/12/13 6-8pm

Tune in to Space is the Place and DJ Tom Wilson to hear the voice of the first person in space, Cosmonaut Yuri Garagin, from aboard the Soviet spacecraft Vostock on the 52nd anniversary of this historic journey into the unknown. Also featured will be the space rockers Hawkwind and their recording of "Bring Me the Head of Yuri Garagin." This was recorded live at Wembly Stadium in 1973 and it includes excerpts of Yari Garagin speaking from his spacecraft during this pioneering space venture.
