"Thirteenth Annual Homelessness Marathon" -- 7pm, Tuesday, February 23 through 9am, Wednesday, February 24

Tune in 7pm Tuesday, and stay with us through the night, until 9am Wednesday, as the 13th annual "Homelessness Marathon" comes to you from Cass Community Services.

Marathon founder, Jeremy Alderson, gives voice to Detroit's homeless as families, mothers, fathers, children, veterans, and others share their stories of homelessness with the world.

Senator Carl Levin is taking calls from homeless people at the site. Ron Gettlefinger and Detroit officials discuss Detroit's homelessness crisis. At least 13,000 to 14,000 homeless people are on the streets of Detroit at any given moment.

WHFR is the host station for this year's Marathon. About 150 radio stations in the US and Canada carry the Marathon.
