Kevin will provide details about the event that is free and open to all, and share how he reinvented the HFC Music Department throughout the pandemic to come out stronger.

WHFR Radiothon is in high gear. Please make your donation today if you haven't already. As a reminder, Labour Day Weekend's show will air at 12pm and 4pm, and will include new music from their unfinished upcoming album plus acoustic tracks performed by vocalist, songwriter & guitar player Joe Kaminski.

$270 Pledge: WHFR's Power Level – We broadcast at 270 watts of power on the FM radio dial. This level Includes TWO Engraved Brass Leaves* on the WHFR Family Tree, located on the main wall outside of the WHFR Studios in Dearborn. Consider one for you and one to dedicate to someone else!
$100 Pledge: WHFR's Tower Level – Fun fact: Our broadcast tower is 100 feet tall.

WHFR is reaffirming our commitment to HomeGrown local and independent music during Radiothon 2021 and we are focusing on two bands we have nurtured throughout their career.

Two of the most celebrated Dearborn area bands – space-rock ambient duo Windy & Carl and punk band Labour Day Weekend – will be featured in a special way throughout the week, from April 19-24, 2021.

Be sure to listen for special programming and features including blasts from our early days in local radio from former WHFR DJs, local bands and artists, and lots of ways to support WHFR as we keep our roots planted in local radio and our wonderful community!

Tune in Friday, April 2 at 1pm for our special spotlight to kick off Autism Awareness Month with Autism Speaks, the advocacy and support organization for people with Autism, their families, and communities. Patti Gold, Great Lakes Chapter Executive Director will share insight on Autism Spectrum Disorder and provide info on diagnosis and avenues of support. Also, segment two of the Journal will feature PRX's MyNDTALK with Dr. Bryna Siegel as he discusses the Politics of Autism. Join us for this powerful hour of programming on the local news and views show, The WHFR Journal.
