From 1960 to 1972 Dr. Cotton was the educational director for SCLC and worked very closely with Dr. King. The late Yolanda King was the eldest daughter of Dr. King. (from Peace Talks Radio)

Moog-A-Thon 2014 happens this year here at WHFR on Tom Wilson's "Space Is The Place." Join us from 6 PM to Midnight for an incredible birthday tribute to Dr. Moog. Tom will be joined by Don Preston, of the Mothers of Invention, and Herbert Deutsch, a collaborator of the late Dr. Moog's, who will be calling in during the night to share their remembrances of this great inventor. For more information about this sonic groundbreaker on his 80th birthday, look to his website: http://moogfoundation.org

Some claim that the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 was actually caused by a controlled demolition orchestrated by the U.S. government. Dramatic conspiracy theories of this kind are all over the place, but they are often dismissed as crazy. Sometimes, however, they turn out to be true: the NSA, as we have learned, conducted secret surveillance of millions of people for more than ten years. Does this show that we shouldn’t be so dismissive of conspiracy theories after all, or that we simply refuse to accept the existence of coincidence?

In honor of Spring (finally) in Michigan, we interview John Lindenmayer, Advocacy & Policy Director (& Webmaster) for the League of Michigan Bicyclists, a non-profit organization devoted to the advancement of bicycling--for recreation and for commuting--and increasing the safety of bicyclists on the roadways in Michigan. Lots of events, legislation, and future initiatives to help support inexpensive transportation and a more healthy lifestyle!

Mr. Phil Kava is our guest this week. Phil is a Michigan native who, with family and friends, has witnessed UFOs over Lake Michigan and believes that the Lake’s waters, along with other bodies of waters around the world, hold a great attraction for their occupants. He claims that he has developed the ability to summon UFOs through meditation. Mr. Kava was recently featured on an episode of Discovery Channel’s “Uncovering Aliens." He has worked with the late W.C. Levengood in the area of subtle energies which offers strong evidence of a universal consciousness which we may all tap into.

If "What matters to you most is right next door"--as our Station Advisor and Journal host Jay Korinek often says--then this is the day to listen: a full-hour interview with Mayor O'Reilly regarding the latest news on current events in the City as well as status reports about ongoing projects. What's up with the new city hall? with the new train station? business development? city services? taxes?
